[Unprocessed .net]

It has been ages since I posted anything here. Hopefully this would mark an end to such phases!
I love running on this trail.

I believe clouds provide an endless source of beauty, like so many other things in nature.

A portion of Saint Louis city.

The aerial shots in here have mostly undergone individual channel contrast enhancement. This reduces the bluish tinge from high altitude shots and the extra brightness that is generally present.

Kittycat

It took almost forever for me to resume posting material here. It is good to be back :)

This is Kittycat. She is a fashionable young girl who loves chasing shadows thinking as though it were some
prey. She has the gait of a big cat!

I believe that after our eyes become attuned to all the glorious photographs with cool post-processing, we might need some real-time, reality processing shades to walk around in! The image below yields the one above after "individual channel contrast enhancement". I bet you have seen all kinds of heavily processed material before and assumed most or at least some of them to be true.

Now, I'm not saying that all beautiful photographs are not real. I have nothing against beautiful images but, only as long as they're about as beautiful as the real thing and nothing more! Otherwise, they may still be an art form though not really a good photograph in my view.

Types of tails

Alright, enough with the squirrels now! This is here only to show the regular brown tails compared with the white ones. I haven't see the white ones ever before. Overall they are pretty much the same except the colour of the tails. But, they are certainly different from the big brown squirrels.

Tomorrow's picture would be something to think about. A comparison that addresses the core philosophy of this site -- processed versus unprocessed. You may like to read the 'About' section to know more about my stand on the issue.

I found a couple of young squirrels roaming around with a white tail. Squirrels in India have a typical brown tail. You can compare this with the next image to see how different this one is.

Mobility

Unprocessed.net completes one year today! It was started on July 31st 2005. I am thankful to everyone for the interest they have shown and for all the valuable feedback. I have been planning to redesign the site but, it will take a little while since I am a bit particular about standards compliance.

Cloud sea

The cloud cover was ending abruptly in a straight line path. I don't quite understand how that could happen.
